TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE

Change of Implementation Arrangement of Mong Kok Pedestrianisation Schemes

     Notice is hereby given that with effect from 20 January 2014, the implementation time of the part time pedestrian scheme at the following road sections will be changed from 4.00 pm to 10.00 pm from Mondays to Saturdays and from 12.00 noon to 10.00 pm on Sundays and Public Holidays, to from 4.00 pm to 10.00 pm on Saturdays and from 12.00 noon to 10.00 pm on Sundays and Public Holidays.  The following road sections will be opened for vehicular traffic for the remaining days from Mondays to Fridays:

• (a) the section of Sai Yeung Choi Street South between Argyle Street and Dundas Street;

• (b) the section of Nelson Street between Sai Yeung Choi Street South and Fa Yuen Street; and

• (c) the section of Soy Street between Sai Yeung Choi Street South and Fa Yuen Street.

     Drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from driving into the above pedestrian streets during the implementation hours.

     The existing implementation hours of pedestrian street at the section of Tung Choi Street between Argyle Street and Dundas Street which is from 4.00 pm to 12.00 midnight from Mondays to Saturdays and from 12.00 noon to 12.00 midnight on Sundays and Public Holidays will remain unchanged.
