Temporary Traffic Arrangements on Castle Peak Road-Sham Tseng Section
near Sham Tseng Fire Station, Tsuen Wan
Members of the public are advised that to facilitate the reconstruction and improvement of Tuen Mun Road, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm on 13 February 2014 (Thursday) and 20 February 2014 (Thursday) in Tsuen Wan:
a) Lane Closure
The following traffic lanes will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:
(1) The slow lane of Castle Peak Road-Sham Tseng Section eastbound between Rhine Garden and Sham Tseng Fire Station;
(2) The right turn lane of the slip road leading from Tuen Mun Road to Castle Peak Road-Sham Tseng Section westbound; and
(3) The right turn lane leading from Castle Peak Road-Sham Tseng Section westbound to Tuen Mun Road.
b) Traffic Diversion
(1) Traffic Diversions towards Tsing Lung Tau:
(i) Motorists on the slip road of Tuen Mun Road heading for Tsing Lung Tau are advised to travel via Castle Peak Road-Sham Tseng Section eastbound, Sham Tsz Street roundabout, and Castle Peak Road-Sham Tseng Section westbound; and
(2) Traffic Diversions towards Tuen Mun Road:
(i) Motorists on Castle Peak Road-Sham Tseng Section westbound heading for Tuen Mun Road are advised to travel via Castle Peak Road-Sham Tseng Section westbound, roundabout near Pai Min Kok Village and Castle Peak Road-Sham Tseng Section eastbound.
c) Public Transport Arrangement
(1) Temporary Diversions of Bus and Green Mini-bus (GMB) services:
(i) KMB route nos. 52X (to Tuen Mun), 234A (to Sea Crest Villa) and CTB route no. 962B (to Tuen Mun) as well as GMB route nos. 308A and 308M (to Sham Tseng) will be diverted to operate via Castle Peak Road-Sham Tseng Section eastbound, Sham Tsz Street roundabout, and Castle Peak Road-Sham Tseng Section westbound before resuming their original routeings; and
(2) Temporary Relocation of Bus Stop:
(i) The bus stop on Castle Peak Road-Sham Tseng Section eastbound outside Rhine Garden of KMB route nos. 53, 234A, 234B, 234S and GMB route nos. 308M will be temporary relocated to a point about 20 metres west of its original position.
Appropriate traffic aids will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive with utmost care. At the same time, the bus companies and GMB operator will put up notices to advise passengers of the above temporary public transport arrangements.
