Temporary Traffic Arrangements in Yuen Long
Members of the public are advised that to facilitate the construction of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented in Yuen Long from 02:00 a.m. to 04:00 a.m. on 2 May 2014. Details are as follows:
(I) From 02:00 a.m. to 02:10 a.m.
1. The section of Castle Peak Road (Tam Mi) between about 360 metres north to its junction with Pok Wai South Road and San Tam Road will be converted from two-way traffic to one-way southbound for about 10 minutes.
2. The section of Pok Wai South Road connecting to Castle Peak Road (Tam Mi) will be converted from two-way traffic to one-way eastbound for about 10 minutes.
(II) From 02:20 a.m. to 04.00 a.m.
1. The section of Kam Tin Road between Tung Wui Road and the bus stop of Tsat Sing Kong will be converted from two-way traffic to one-way eastbound for about 15 minutes.
2. The unnamed road connecting between Kam Tin Road (near Tsat Sing Kong) and Kam Tin River (including a section of Kam Tai Road) will be converted from two-way traffic to one-way northbound for about 15 minutes.
Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements and traffic control will be made by the police depending on the traffic condition in the area. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion, and observe the instructions given by the police.
