Traffic Advice

Bicycle Procession to be held in Kowloon on 21 May 2014

 

     Members of public are advised that a bicycle procession will be held in Kowloon from around 8.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. on 21 May 2014 (Wednesday).

     The procession will start from Clock Tower, Tsim Sha Tsui heading to Sham Shui Po and then return to the starting point again with the following routeing:

 

    

Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower (Starting Point), Salisbury Road eastbound, Nathan Road northbound, Lai Chi Kok Road westbound, Wong Chuk Street eastbound, Yu Chau Street westbound, Yen Chow Street westbound, Lai Chi Kok Road southbound, Nathan Road southbound, Salisbury Road westbound and Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower (Finishing Point).

     During the above procession, traffic lanes along the above procession route will be closed by phases.  Depending the traffic condition, the Police on site may implement the following traffic arrangements except franchised buses and green minibuses:-

     Actual implementation of and adjustment to traffic control will be made by the Police at the time depending on conditions in the areas.

     Members of the public who plan to go to the affected area are advised to plan their journey early, use alternative routes, and allow more traveling time to cater for unexpected delay.  Motorist are also advised to avoid driving to the affected areas. They should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion, observe the instruction given by the Police; and watch out for the latest traffic news through the media.
