ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)

Temporary Restricted Zones in Sham Shui Po

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 9 June 2014 to 11 August 2014, the following road sections in Sham Shui Po will be temporarily designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

• (a) the section of Yee Kuk Street from its junction with Yen Chow Street to a point about 30 metres east of the same junction;

• (b) the southern kerbside lane of Yee Kuk Street from a point about 35 metres east of its junction with Yen Chow Street to a point about 75 metres east of the same junction;

• (c) the section of Yee Kuk Street from a point about 20 metres west of its junction with Kweilin Street to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction; and

• (d) the section of Kweilin West Street from a point about 20 metres south of its junction with Yee Kuk Street to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction.

     Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b) loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
