Temporary Closure of Tuen Mun Road (Town Centre Section) 

       Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the noise barrier construction and road works at Tuen Mun Road (Town Centre Section), the following temporary traffic and public transport arrangements will be implemented in Tuen Mun during the periods specified as below:

(I)  From 1.00 am to 5.30 am daily between 11 and 14 June 2014

A)  Road closure

The section of Tuen Mun Road southbound from its junction with Tsing Tin Road to its southern junction with Tuen Fat Road will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

B)  Traffic diversion

Affected motorists on Tuen Mun Road southbound are advised to travel via Tsing Tin Road westbound, Tsun Wen Road southbound, Pui To Road eastbound, Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road southbound and Tuen Hing Road eastbound.

C)  Public Transport Arrangements

The following bus and GMB routes will be temporarily diverted:

GMB Route No. 44

To Tuen Mun Pier Head

via Lam Tei Interchange, Castle Peak Road southbound, Pui To Road westbound and then resume to original routeing.

GMB Route No. 606S

To Tsim Sha Tsui East

a Lam Tei Interchange, Castle Peak Road southbound, Tuen Hing Road westbound and then resume to original routeing.

(II)  From 1.45 am to 6.00 am daily between 10 and 12 June 2014

        A)  Road closure

The following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:

(a) the section of Tuen Mun Road northbound from its junction with the slip road leading from Tuen Mun Road northbound to Wong Chu Road westbound to a point about 985 metres north of the same junction; and

(b) the slip road leading from Wong Chu Road eastbound to Tuen Mun Road northbound.

B)  Traffic diversion

(a)    Affected motorists on Tuen Mun Road northbound heading for Yuen Long are advised to travel via Wong Chu Road westbound, Hoi Wong Road southbound, Hoi Wing Road eastbound, Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road northbound, Tuen Hing Road eastbound and Tuen Hi Road northbound; and

(b)    Affected motorists on Wong Chu Road eastbound heading for Yuen Long are advised to travel via Hoi Wong Road southbound, Hoi Wing Road eastbound, Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road northbound, Tuen Hing Road eastbound and Tuen Hi Road northbound.

C)  Public Transport Arrangements

The following Green Mini-Bus (GMB) routes will be temporarily diverted:

GMB Route No. 610S

To Tin Shui Wai

via Wong Chu Road westbound, Hoi Wong Road southbound, Hoi Chu Road eastbound, Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road northbound and then resume to original routeing.

No stop of the above GMB routes will be affected.

       Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive with utmost care. At the same time, the bus companies and GMB operators will put up notices to advise passengers of the above temporary public transport arrangements.
