Traffic Advice

Extension of Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Wong Chuk Hang

  Members of the public are advised that the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will continue to be implemented in Wong Chuk Hang from 5.00 p.m. on 30 June 2014 to  30 September 2014 to facilitate the construction of MTRCL South Island Line (East):

A. Banning of Turning Movements and Changes of Traffic Movements
1. The left turn movements for all vehicles (except franchised buses) from Wong Chuk Hang Road westbound onto Nam Long Shan Road southbound will be banned.
2. The section of Yip Fat Street between Gee Luen Hing Industrial Building and Yally Industrial Building will be converted from one-way eastbound to one-way westbound.
3. The section of Heung Yip Road between Nam Long Shan Road and Yally  Industrial Building will be converted from two-way traffic to one-way eastbound.
4. The section of Heung Yip Road outside E Tat Factory Building will be converted from two-way traffic to one-way westbound.

B. Traffic Diversions
Due to the above arrangements, the following temporary traffic diversions will be implemented concurrently:
1. Vehicles from Ocean Park Road heading for the section of Heung Yip Road west of Nam Long Shan Road will be diverted to travel via Ocean Park Road northbound, Wong Chuk Hang Road westbound and Heung Yip Road eastbound.
2. Vehicles from Heung Yip Road westbound and Yip Fat Street heading for Ocean Park Road and Wong Chuk Hang Road will be diverted to travel via Yip Fat Street, Heung Yip Road eastbound, Ocean Park Road and Wong Chuk Hang Road.
3. Vehicles from Wong Chuk Hang Road westbound heading for Heung Yip Road and Nam Long Shan Road will be diverted to travel via Wong Chuk Hang Road westbound, Heung Yip Road eastbound, Nam Long Shan Road northbound, Wong Chuk Hang Road eastbound, Ocean Park Road southbound, Heung Yip Road westbound, Police School Road and Nam Long Shan Road.
4. Vehicles from Heung Yip Road eastbound and Nam Long Shan Road northbound heading for Ocean Park Road will be diverted to travel via Nam Long Shan Road northbound, Wong Chuk Hang Road eastbound and Ocean Park Road southbound.

C. Bus Route Diversion
The special departures of CTB route 48 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from Nam Long Shan Road northbound heading for Ocean Park will be diverted to travel via Nam Long Shan Road northbound, Wong Chuk Hang Road eastbound and Ocean Park Road southbound before resuming its normal routeing on Ocean Park Road eastbound.

  Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on site to guide motorists. The bus company will display notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
