TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE

Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Jordon

      Notice is hereby given that in connection with the construction of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Jordon from 01:00 a.m. to 08:00 a.m. on 10 August 2014.

(I) Temporary Road Closure

(A) During 01:00 a.m. to 05:30 a.m., the following section of roads will be closed temporarily to all vehicular traffic:

(i) The section of Jordon Road (eastbound) between Lin Cheung Road (northbound) and Canton Road;
(ii) The slip road leading from Lin Cheung Road (southbound) to Road D1A (N);
(iii) The slip road leading from West Kowloon Highway (southbound) to Road D1A (N);
(iv) The slip road leading from West Kowloon Highway (northbound) to Road D1A (N); and
(v) Road D1A (N).

(B) During 05:30 a.m. to 08:00 a.m., the section of Jordon Road (eastbound) between Road D1A(N) and Canton Road will be closed temporarily to all vehicular traffic and the left three traffic lanes on Road D1A(N) will also be closed.

(II) Temporary Traffic Diversions

(A) During 01:00 a.m. to 05:30 a.m., the following traffic diversions will be implemented:

(i) Vehicle on Jordon Road (eastbound) heading for Jordon and Tsim Sha Tsui areas will be diverted to travel via Lin Cheung Road (northbound), roundabout, Lin Cheung Road (southbound), Lai Cheung Road (eastbound) and Ferry Street (southbound).

(ii) Vehicles on Lin Cheung Road (northbound) heading for Jordon area will be diverted to travel via Jordon Road (westbound), Nga Cheung Road (southbound), Austin Road West (eastbound), Canton Road (northbound) and Jordon Road (eastbound).

(iii) Vehicles on Lin Cheung Road (northbound) and West Kowloon Highway (northbound) heading for Tsim Sha Tsui area will be diverted to travel via Nga Cheung Road (southbound), Austin Road West (eastbound), Wui Man Road (northbound), Wui Cheung Road (eastbound) and Canton Road (southbound).

(iv) Vehicles on West Kowloon Highway (southbound) heading for MTR Kowloon Station will be diverted to travel via Lai Cheung Road (eastbound), Ferry Street (southbound), Canton Road (southbound), Wui Cheung Road (westbound), Wui Man Road (southbound), Austin Road West (westbound) and Nga Cheung Road (northbound).

(v) Vehicles on West Kowloon Highway (southbound and northbound) heading for Jordan area will be diverted to travel via Lai Cheung Road (eastbound), Ferry Street (southbound) and Jordan Road (eastbound).

(vi) Vehicles on West Kowloon Highway (southbound) heading for Tsim Sha Tsui area will be diverted to travel via Lai Cheung Road (eastbound), Ferry Street (southbound) and Canton Road (southbound).

(vii) Vehicles on Lin Cheung Road (southbound) heading for Jordon and Tsim Sha Tsui areas will be diverted to travel via Lai Cheung Road (eastbound) and Ferry Street (southbound).

(B) During 05:30 a.m. to 08:00 a.m., vehicles on Jordon Road (eastbound) and Road D1A(N) heading for Jordon area will be diverted to travel via Road D1A(S) (southbound), Wui Cheung Road (eastbound), Canton Road (northbound) and Jordon Road (eastbound).

(III) Public Transport Arrangements

(A) During 01:00 a.m. to 05:30 a.m., the following public transport arrangements will be implemented:

      Actual implementation of the traffic arrangement and traffic control will be made by the police depending on the traffic condition in the area.  Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion, and observe the instructions given by the police.  The public transport services operators will display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangement.
