Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Jordan

      Notice is hereby given that in connection with the construction of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Jordan from 9:00 p.m. on 18 July 2015 to 5:45 a.m. on 19 July 2015:

(I) Temporary Banning of Vehicle Turning Movement

The right turn movement for vehicles from Jordan Road (westbound) onto Lin Cheung Road (northbound) will be temporary banned from 9:00 p.m. on 18 July 2015 to 5:45 a.m. on 19 July 2015.

During the above period, vehicles on Jordan Road (westbound) heading for Lin Cheung Road (northbound) will be diverted to travel via Jordan Road (westbound), roundabout, Jordan Road (eastbound) and Lin Cheung Road (northbound).

(II) Temporary Road Closure

The following section of roads will be temporary closed to all vehicular traffic from 1:00 a.m. to 5:45 a.m. on 19 July 2015:

(i) The slip road leading from Lin Cheung Road (southbound) to Road D1A(N).
(ii) The slip roads leading from West Kowloon Highway (southbound) and West Kowloon Highway (northbound) to Road D1A(N).
(iii) Road D1A(N).

During the above road closure period, the following traffic diversion will be implemented:

(i) Vehicles on Lin Cheung Road (southbound) or West Kowloon Highway (southbound or northbound) heading for Jordan or Tsim Sha Tsui areas will be diverted to travel via Lai Cheung Road (eastbound) and Ferry Street (southbound).

(ii) Vehicles on West Kowloon Highway (southbound or northbound) heading for the area near MTR Kowloon Station will be diverted to travel via Lai Cheung Road (eastbound), Ferry Street (southbound), Canton Road (southbound), Wui Cheung Road (westbound), Wui Man Road (southbound) and Austin Road West (westbound).

(III) Temporary Public Transport Arrangement

(A) Temporary Bus Diversions

(i) During 9:00 p.m. on 18 July 2015 to 5:45 a.m. on 19 July 2015, Citybus routes E23, A22, N11, and Kowloon Motor Bus routes 260X, 268B, 269B on Jordan Road (westbound) heading for Tung Chung, Tuen Mun or Yuen Long directions will be diverted to travel via Jordan Road (westbound), roundabout and Jordan Road (eastbound) before resuming their normal routing on Lin Cheung Road (northbound).

(ii) During 1:00 a.m. to 5:45 a.m. on 19 July 2015, Citybus routes N11 and N23 on West Kowloon Highway (southbound) heading for Hong Kong Island or Kowloon East directions will be diverted to travel via Lai Cheung Road (eastbound) and Ferry Street (southbound) before resuming their normal routings on Jordan Road (eastbound).

(B) Temporary Bus Stop Arrangement

(i) During 1:00 a.m. to 5:45 a.m. on 19 July 2015, the bus stop of Citybus routes N11 and N23 on Jordan Road (eastbound) opposite to MTR Austin Station will be relocated to Ferry Street (southbound) opposite to Man Wah Building.

      Actual implementation of the traffic arrangement and traffic control will be made by the police depending on the traffic condition in the area.  Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion, and observe the instructions given by the police.  The public transport services operator will display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary public transport arrangements.
