Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Siu Sai Wan

 

To facilitate the football match in Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground, the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Siu Sai Wan on 15 October 2015 (Thursday) at the time specified below:

 

(I)            Road closure

 

Fu Hong Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 4.00 p.m. to 11.30 p.m., except vehicles with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport and those gaining access to the Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground carpark.

 

(II)          Temporary suspension of parking spaces

 

All on-street motorcycle parking spaces at Fu Hong Street will be suspended from 7.00 a.m. to 11.30 p.m..

 

(III)         Temporary suspension of taxi stand

    

The taxi stand on Siu Sai Wan Road westbound opposite Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground will be suspended from 8.00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m..  Passengers can make use of the taxi stand inside the Siu Sai Wan (Island Resort) Public Transport Interchange.

 

(IV)        Bus services arrangements

 

(a)      Special bus services

 

Two departures of NWFB route X82 will be operated from Siu Sai Wan Road eastbound outside Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground to North Point at 9.50 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., and when necessary, subject to passenger demand and traffic condition.

 

Two departures of Cross Harbour Route 118R will be operated from Siu Sai Wan Road westbound  opposite Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground to Mong Kok at 9.50 p.m. and 10.00 p.m., and when necessary, subject to passenger demand and traffic condition.

 

(b)      Enhancement of bus services

 

CTB routes 8X and 788, NWFB routes 82, 8P and 682 and Cross Harbour route 118 will be strengthened, subject to passenger demand and traffic conditions. 

 

(V)         Attention and Appeal

 

(i)        Actual implementation of the road closure, traffic and public transport diversions will be made by the Police at the time depending on conditions in the area.  Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion and take heed of instructions of the Police.

 

(ii)       Motorists are advised not to drive to the congested/affected areas, and to drive with utmost care and patience.

 

(iii)     Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion, observe the instruction given by the Police; and watch out for the latest traffic news through the media.

 

(iv)     Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements might be towed away by the Police without prior notice. Police officers will be on-site to guide the motorists.

 

(v)       Members of the public are advised not to go to the affected areas. Should this is unavoidable, please use public transport services as far as possible.
