Traffic Advice

 

Temporary Traffic Arrangements at Yuen Long Highway

 

Motorists are advised that in order to facilitate improvement works at Pok Oi Interchange, the following temporary traffic arrangement will be implemented from 11.00 p.m. on 7 and 8 November 2016 to 5.30 a.m. of the following day.

 

(I)        Lane Closure

 

(a)    The slow lane of Yuen Long Highway southbound heading to Pok Oi Interchange and the new segregated left turn lane heading to Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long eastbound will be closed temporarily to all vehicular traffic; and

(b)   The section of S5 road from its junction with Siu Sheung Road to its junction with Yuen Long Highway southbound will be closed temporarily to all vehicular traffic.

 

(II)     Traffic Diversion

 

Motorists on Yuen Long Highway southbound heading to Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long eastbound are advised to travel via the remaining traffic lanes of Yuen Long Highway southbound, Pok Oi Interchange and the slip road heading to Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long eastbound and back to Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long eastbound.

 

(III)       Public Transport Services Arrangements

 

Pok Oi Hospital bus stop on S5 Road will be temporarily suspended. A temporary bus stop will be provided at Tung Shing Lei on Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long eastbound. Affected routes will be re-routed to operate via Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long eastbound, Au Tau Interchange and Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long westbound before resuming their normal routeings.

 

           Appropriate temporary traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. The public transport operators will display notices at the stops and inside vehicle compartments of the affected route to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
