Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Cha Kwo Ling for Tin Hau Festival 2017
Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Cha Kwo Ling from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on 19 April 2017 (Wednesday) to facilitate the "Float Parade" for Tin Hau Festival:
(I) Traffic Arrangements
- (1) The eastbound carriageway of Cha Kwo Ling Road between Wing Fook Street and Yau Tong Road will be closed, whereas the westbound carriageway of this section of Cha Kwo Ling Road will be converted into eastbound traffic;
- (2) Vehicles on Cha Kwo Ling Road westbound, Yau Tong heading for Laguna City or Wai Yip Street will be diverted via Yau Tong Road, Lei Yue Mun Road, Wai Fat Road, Cha Kwo Ling Road and Wai Yip Street; and
- (3) The unnamed road next to Tin Hau Temple will be converted into one-lane-two-way traffic.
(II) Public Transport Arragements
- (1) Green Minibus (GMB) Route 23B (Tung Yan Street Temporary Public Light Bus "Scheduled" Service Terminus - Cha Kwo Ling) on its journeys to Kwun Tong Town Centre will be diverted via Cha Kwo Ling Road eastbound, Yau Tong Road and Lei Yue Mun Road;
- (2) GMB Route 23C (Laguna City - Yau Tong Station)(Circular) on its journeys to Laguna City will be diverted via Lei Yue Mun Road, Wai Fat Road, Cha Kwo Ling Road and Sin Fat Road;
- (3) Due to the aforesaid diversions of GMB routes, passengers in Cha Kwo Ling heading for Laguna City should make use of GMB Route 23C instead of GMB Route 23B, whereas passengers in Laguna City heading for Kwun Tong Town Centre should make use of GMB Route 23M (Tung Yan Street Temporary Public Light Bus "Scheduled" Service Terminus - Lam Tin Station (Sin Fat Road)) instead of GMB Route 23B; and
- (4) An en-route stop for GMB Routes 23B and 23C will be provided on Cha Kwo Ling Road near Tin Hau Temple.
Appropriate traffic signs will be placed on site to guide motorists.
