TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE

Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Hung Hom

        Notice is hereby given that in order to facilitate the works related to Kwun Tong Line Extension, the following traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Hung Hom from 5.00 pm on 30 August 2017:

A. Traffic Arrangements
 
        1. The section of Tak Man Street between Man Tai Street and Hung Hom Road will be reinstated from one-way eastbound traffic to two-way traffic;
        2. Turning movements for all vehicles from Hung Hom Road (northbound and southbound) onto Tak Man Street will be reinstated; and
        3. The right turning movement for all vehicles from Hung Hom Road (southbound) onto Man Tai Street will be banned.

B. Public Transport Arrangements

        1. GMB Terminus

        The terminus of Kowloon GMB route no. 6A in Man Tai Street will be reinstated to Tak Man Street (westbound) outside King Fu Building. Its journey to the terminus will be reinstated to travel via Hung Hom Road (northbound) and Tak Man Street (westbound).

        2. GMB Stops

        (a) The GMB stops in Man Tai Street of Kowloon GMB route nos. 2 and 13 will be reinstated to Tak Man Street (westbound) near the end of the terminus of Kowloon GMB route no. 6A. Their journeys to Kowloon Tong will be reinstated to travel via Hung Hom Road and Tak Man Street (westbound), and continue their original routeings; and
        (b) The GMB Stops in Tak Man Street (eastbound) of Kowloon GMB route nos. 2, 6 and 13 will be reinstated about 20 metres eastward.
  
        3. Bus Stops

        The bus stop in Tak Man Street (eastbound) serving KMB route nos. 5D, 8A, 12A, 30X, 230X, 85S, 85X, 297, 297P, CTB route nos. E23, N23, NWFB route no. 796X and XHT route no. 115 (outside Yuen Wah Building) will be reinstated about 40 metres eastward (outside Lok Wah Building).

        4. Taxi Pick-up and Drop-off Point

        The taxi pick-up and drop-off point in Tak Man Street will be reinstated about 50 metres eastward (outside Ki Fu Building). The heading direction of the taxi pick-up and drop-off point will be reinstated from Whampoa Garden bound to Wuhu Street bound.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on site to guide motorists. The public transport operators will display notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
