Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements for the 60th Anniversary Celebration of
Shung Ching San Tsuen in Yuen Long

        Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Yuen Long to facilitate the procession for the 60th Anniversary Celebration of Shung Ching San Tsuen on 17 December 2017 (Sunday):

Road Closure

        The following sections of roads in Shap Pat Heung will be intermittently closed to all vehicular traffic from 8.45 a.m. until completion of the procession at about 6 p.m. on 17 December 2017. The actual implementation of road closure may be altered depending on prevailing crowd and traffic conditions.

(1) Tai Tong Road south of Sham Chung Road;

(2) Tai Shu Ha Road East between Tai Shu Ha Tin Hau Temple and Tong Tau Po Tsuen Village Office;

(3) Tai Shu Ha Road West between Yau Cha Po and Shung Ching Road;

(4) Shung Ching Road;

(5) Sham Chung Tsuen Road;

(6) Sham Chung Road;

(7) Tai Tong Road between Sham Chung Tsuen Road and Tai Kei Leng Road;

(8) Tai Kei Leng Road between Tai Tong Road and Shap Pat Heung Interchange;

(9) Tai Shu Ha Road East between Tai Kei Leng Road and Long Ho Road;

(10) Long Ho Road between Tai Shu Ha Road East and Yeung Uk Tsuen Village Office;

(11) Yau Tin West Road between Long Ho Road and Kong Yau Road;

(12) Kong Yau Road;

(13) Kiu Hing Road; and

(14) Shui Tsiu San Tsuen Road.

        Due to the upsurge in visitors going to Tai Tong Shan Road for viewing the maple leaves on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, the Transport Department anticipates that the traffic in the vicinity of Shap Pat Heung will be very congested.  Motorists are advised to avoid driving to the above areas unless necessary.  Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion, and follow the instructions of the Police.。Members of the public planning to go to the affected area are advised to plan their journey in advance, use public transport as far as possible and allow ample time for travelling.
