ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zone on Shun Tat Street, Tuen Mun

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 4 May 2018, the following road sections in Tuen Mun will be designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(i) the section of Shun Tat Street southbound from about 120 metres south of its junction with Castle Peak Road - Lam Tei to a point about 162 metres south of the same junction;

(ii) the section of Shun Tat Street southbound from about 294 metres south of its junction with Castle Peak Road - Lam Tei to a point about 338 metres south of the same junction;

(iii) the section of Shun Tat Street northbound from about 120 metres south of its junction with Castle Peak Road - Lam Tei to a point about 168 metres south of the same junction; and

(iv) the section of Shun Tat Street northbound from about 294 metres south of its junction with Castle Peak Road - Lam Tei to a point about 336 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
