ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER. 374 SUB. LEG.G)

Temporary Restricted Zones in Yau Ma Tei

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, (Cap. 374 Sub. Leg.G), I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 17 June 2018 to 30 September 2018, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones:-

(I) Restricted zones 24 hours daily: -

     (a) the eastern kerbside lane of Wui Man Road southbound from a point about 40 metres south of its junction with Jordan Road to the northern kerbside lane of Wui Cheung Road eastbound to its junction with Canton Road.

(II) Restricted zones from 7.00 am to 12.00 midnight daily: -

     (a) the eastern kerbside lane of Hoi Wang Road southbound from a point about 22 metres south of its junction with Yan Cheung Road to a point about 270 metres south of the same junction; 
     (b) the western kerbside lane of Hoi Wang Road northbound from its junction with Jordan Road to a point about 310 metres north of the same junction; 
     (c) the southern kerbside lane of Wui Cheung Road westbound from a point about 45 metres west of its junction with Canton Road to the western kerbside lane of Wui Man Road northbound to its junction with Jordan Road; 
     (d) the southern kerbside lane of the section of Jordan Road westbound between Canton Road and Lin Cheung Road; and  
     (e) the northern kerbside lane of the section of Jordan Road eastbound between Lin Cheung Road and Ferry Street.

     Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

     (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
     (b) loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

     At the same time, the designation of prohibited zones on the above mentioned road sections have been rescinded.
