Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations(Chapter 374)

Restricted Zones in Yeung Uk Road and Luen Yan Street, Tsuen Wan

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 29 June 2018, the following road sections in Tsuen Wan will be  designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a) the northern kerbside lane of Yeung Uk Road from its junction with Luen Yan Street to a point about 50 metres west of the same junction;

(b) the northern kerbside lane of Luen Yan Street from its junction with Yeung Uk Road to a point about 60 metres east of the same junction; and

(c) the northern kerbside lane of Luen Yan Street from its junction with Sha Tsui Road to a point about 120 metres west of the same junction

        The following road section will be designated restricted zone from 8:00a.m. to 10:00a.m. and 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. daily:

(d) the northern kerbside lane of Luen Yan Street from a point about 60 metres east of its junction with Yeung Uk Road to a point about 100 metres east of the same junction

        Within the above restricted zones in (a), (b) and (c) above, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses at designated bus stops and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b) loading or unloading goods.

        Within the above restricted zone in (d), drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses at designated bus stops, taxi (for picking up and setting down passengers only) and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
