ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Quarry Bay

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 29 June 2018, the following road sections in Quarry Bay will be designated as restricted zones at the time specified below:

I.    24 hours daily

(a)  the northern kerbside lane of Hoi Yu Street from a point about 100 metres east of its junction with Hoi Chak Street to a point about 125 metres east of the same junction;

(b)  the southern kerbside lane of Hoi Yu Street from a point about 125 metres east of its junction with Hoi Chak Street to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction; and

(c)  the section of Hoi Chak Street from its junction with Hoi Yu Street to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction.

II.    from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily

(a)  the eastern kerbside lane of Hoi Chak Street from a point about 20 metres south of its junction with Hoi Yu Street to a point about 120 metres south of the same junction; and

(b)  the western kerbside lane of Hoi Chak Street from a point about 60 metres south of its junction with Hoi Yu Street to a point about 130 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
