ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in North Point

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 6 July 2018, the following road sections in North Point will be designated as restricted zones at the time specified below:

I.    24 hours daily

(a)  the southern kerbside lane of Java Road from its junction with Man Hong Street southbound to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;

(b)  the southern kerbside lane of Java Road from a point about 70 metres west of its junction with Healthy Street East to a point about 55 metres west of the same junction; and

(c)  the eastern kerbside lane of Man Hong Street southbound from its junction with Java Road to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction.

II.    from 8.00 am to 10.00 am and from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm daily

(a)  the northern kerbside lane of Java Road from a point about 15 metres east of its junction with Man Hong Street southbound to a point about 25 metres east of its junction with Healthy Street East;

(b)  the southern kerbside lane of Java Road from a point about 15 metres east of its junction with Man Hong Street southbound to a point about 105 metres east of the same junction (except the hatched area);

(c)  the southern kerbside lane of Java Road from a point about 55 metres west of its junction with Healthy Street East to the same junction; and

(d)  the eastern kerbside lane of Man Hong Street southbound from a point about 25 metres south of its junction with Java Road to a point about 70 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
