ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Sai Wan Ho

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 27 July 2018, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a)  the western kerbside lane of Hoi An Street from a point about 10 metres north of its junction with Sai Wan Ho Street to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;

(b)  the section of Sai Wan Ho Street from its junction with Hoi An Street to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction;

(c)  the southern kerbside lane of Sai Wan Ho Street from a point about 15 metres east of its junction with Hoi Ching Street to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction;

(d)  the western kerbside lane of Hoi Ching Street from a point about 30 metres south of its junction with Sai Wan Ho Street to the same junction; and

(e)  the eastern kerbside lane of Hoi Ching Street from its junction with Sai Wan Ho Street to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
