TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE

Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Tsim Sha Tsui

        Members of the public are advised that to facilitate road improvement work near West Kowloon Station of the Hong Kong Section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 1.00 a.m. to 5.00 a.m. on 12 August 2018:

Road closure

The section of Jordan Road eastbound from Hoi Wang Road to Ferry Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

Banning of vehicle turning movements

(a) The left turn movement for all vehicles from Hoi Wang Road southbound onto Jordan Road eastbound will be banned;

(b) The right turn movement for all vehicles from Wui Man Road northbound onto Jordan Road eastbound will be banned;

(c) Motorists from Jordan Road eastbound are only allowed to make left turns to Hoi Wang Road northbound or to make right turns to Wui Man Road southbound only;

(d) The right turn movement for all vehicles from Ferry Street southbound onto Jordan Road westbound will be banned; and

(e) Motorists from Jordan Road westbound are only allowed to make left turns to Canton Road southbound only.

Traffic diversions

(a) Vehicles from Jordan Road eastbound and Hoi Wang Road southbound heading for Hung Hom will be diverted to travel via Wui Man Road southbound, Wui Cheung Road eastbound, Canton Road northbound and Jordan Road eastbound;

(b) Vehicles from Wui Man Road northbound heading for Hung Hom will be diverted to travel via Jordan Road westbound, roundabout, Jordan Road eastbound, Wui Man Road southbound, Wui Cheung Road eastbound, Canton Road northbound and Jordan Road eastbound; and

(c) Vehicles from Jordan Road westbound heading for Airport Express Station, Hong Kong (West) and Lantau will be diverted to travel via Canton Road southbound, Wui Cheung Road westbound, Wui Man Road northbound and Jordan Road westbound.

Bus diversions

(a) CTB routes nos. N11 and N23 from West Kowloon Highway southbound heading for Hong Kong Island and Kowloon East will be diverted to travel via Lai Cheung Road eastbound and Ferry Street southbound before resuming their normal routings on Jordan Road eastbound; and

(b) KMB route nos. 8, 63X and 268X from Jordan Road westbound heading for Kowloon West and routes nos. 260X and 269B from Jordan Road westbound heading for New Territories, CTB route no. N11 from Jordan Road westbound heading for Lantau Island and NWFB routes nos. 970 and 970X from Jordan Road westbound heading for Hong Kong Island will be diverted to travel via Canton Road southbound, Wui Cheung Road westbound and Wui Man Road northbound before resuming their normal routings on Jordan Road westbound.

Bus stop arrangement

The bus stop of CTB routes N11 and N23 on Jordan Road eastbound opposite to MTR Austin Station will be relocated to Ferry Street opposite to Man Wah Building.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. The bus companies will display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary public transport arrangements.
