ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Tin Hau

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 31 August 2018, the following road sections in Tin Hau will be designated as restricted zones at the time specified below:

I.   24 hours daily

(a)  the eastern kerbside lane of Electric Road from its junction with Yacht Street to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction; and

(b)  the section of Yacht Street from its junction with Electric Road to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction.

II.   from 8.00 am to 10.00 am and from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm daily (except general holidays)

the southern kerbside lane of Yacht Street from a point about 20 metres west of its junction with Ngan Mok Street to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
