ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in North Point

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 7 September 2018, the following road sections in North Point will be designated as restricted zones at the time specified below:

I.   24 hours daily

(a)  the western kerbside lane of King's Road from a point about 20 metres south of its junction with Shell Street to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction (except the hatched area);

(b)  the northern kerbside lane of Shell Street from its junction with King's Road northbound to a point about 10 metres west of its junction with Merlin Street;

(c)  the southern kerbside lane of Shell Street from its junction with King's Road northbound to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction; and

(d)  the section of Merlin Street from its junction with Shell Street to a point about 30 metres north of the same junction.

II.   from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily

(a)  the southern kerbside lane of Shell Street from a point about 20 metres west of its junction with King's Road northbound to a point about 45 metres west of the same junction; and

(b)  the eastern kerbside lane of Merlin Street from a point about 30 metres north of its junction with Shell Street to its junction with Electric Road.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
