ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in North Point

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 7 September 2018, the following road sections in North Point will be designated as restricted zones at the time specified below:

I.   24 hours daily

(a)  the section of Oil Street from its junction with Electric Road to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction; and

(b)  the southern kerbside lane of Electric Road from its junction with Oil Street to a point about 5 metres east of the same junction.

II.   from 7.00 am to 12.00 midnight daily

the eastern kerbside lane of Oil Street from a point about 15 metres south of its junction with Electric Road to a point about 40 metres south of the same junction.

III.   from 8.00 am to 10.00 am and from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm daily

the western kerbside lane of Oil Street from a point about 15 metres south of its junction with Electric Road to a point about 40 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
