TRAFFIC ADVICE
Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements
for Rehearsal of Flag Raising Ceremony at Golden Bauhinia Square
Members of the public are advised that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in the vicinity of Wan Chai North from about 6.00 am to 12.30 pm on 30 September 2018 (Sunday) to facilitate the rehearsal of flag raising ceremony at Golden Bauhinia Square:
A. Special Traffic Arrangement
Expo Drive eastbound will be intermittently closed to all vehicular traffic.
B. Special Transport Arrangements
(i) Suspension of bus terminus and temporary bus service arrangements
(a) The bus terminus at Expo Drive East will be suspended;
(b) During the period of suspension of the above bus terminus, Citybus Route no. 25A, Cross Harbour Routes no. 961 will omit Expo Drive East, terminate at and depart from Wan Chai North Temporary Public Transport Interchange. The bus stop at Expo Drive East near Convention Avenue will also be suspended. A temporary bus stop will be designated on Convention Avenue opposite to Wan Chai Ferry Pier;
(c) New World First Bus (NWFB) Route no. 15B will omit Wan Chai North and depart from Tin Hau Station Public Transport Interchange. The bus stops at Expo Drive East near Convention Avenue, Victoria Park Road and Wing Hing Street will be suspended; and
(d) NWFB Route no. H1 will omit Expo Drive East and the bus stop at Expo Drive East outside Golden Bauhinia Square will be suspended.
(ii) Suspension of taxi stand, coach parking spaces and pick-up/drop-off area
(a)The taxi stand at Expo Drive, coach parking spaces and the pick-up / drop-off area at Expo Drive East will be suspended.
Notices will be displayed at bus stops by bus companies to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements. In addition, motorists are advised to be patient and follow Police’s instruction, and watch out for the latest traffic news through the media.
