Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Diamond Hill for Chung Yeung Festival 2018

        Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Diamond Hill in connection with the Chung Yeung Festival 2018:

I.   Traffic Arrangements

(A)  Between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm on 6, 7, 13, 14, 17, 20, 21, 27 and 28 October 2018

1.  Road Closure

(i)  The following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic (except emergency vehicles, hearses and vehicles taking part in funeral processions):

(a)  the access road leading to the Diamond Hill Crematorium;

(b)  the access road between Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour and China Light and Power (“CLP”) Sub-station; and

(c)  the access road adjacent to the Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour leading to Sze Chen Hall.

2.  Traffic Diversions

(i)  vehicles entering/leaving Fung Shing Street or Fu Shan Estate Carpark shall follow Po Kong Village Road southbound downhill only;

(ii)  vehicles entering/leaving Grand View Garden Carpark shall follow Po Kong Village Road northbound uphill only; and

(iii)  vehicles on Po Kong Village Road eastbound could route via the easternmost traffic lane of Tsz Wan Shan (South) Bus Terminus onto Yuk Wah Street westbound.

3.  Banning of right-turn vehicular movements

(i)  from Fung Shing Street westbound onto Po Kong Village Road northbound uphill;

(ii)  from Po Kong Village Road northbound uphill into Fung Shing Street eastbound;

(iii)  from Grand View Garden Carpark onto Po Kong Village Road southbound downhill;

(iv)  from Po Kong Village Road southbound downhill into Grand View Garden Carpark;

(v)  from Fu Shan Estate Carpark onto Po Kong Village Road northbound uphill;

(vi)  from Po Kong Village Road northbound uphill into Fu Shan Estate Carpark;

(vii)  from Po Kong Village Road southbound downhill into Po Kong Village Road School Village Carpark;

(viii)  from Po Kong Village Road School Village Carpark onto Po Kong Village Road southbound downhill;

(ix)  from Po Kong Village Road southbound downhill onto unnamed road opposite to Po Leung Lane;

(x)  from unnamed road opposite to Po Leung Lane onto Po Kong Village Road southbound downhill;

(xi)  from Tsz Wan Shan (South) Bus Terminus into Yuk Wah Street eastbound (except franchised buses); and

(xii)  from Yuk Wah Crescent onto Yuk Wah Street eastbound.

4.  Suspension of Parking Spaces

(i)  the metered parking spaces on the unnamed road between the Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour and CLP Sub-station; and

(ii)  5 metered parking spaces in Yuk Wah Street Carpark.

5.  Designation of Temporary Taxi Pick up/ Set Down Points

(i)  Fung Shing Street westbound near Fu Yan House, Fu Shan Estate; and

(ii)  Yuk Wah Street westbound near Yuk Hok Lane.

6.  Designation of Temporary Private Car Pick Up/Set Down Point

Yuk Wah Street westbound near Yuk Hok Lane

(B)  Between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm on 6, 7, 27 and 28 October 2018

Yuk Hok Lane and the section of Yuk Wah Street east of Tsz Wan Shan Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic (except motor cycles, private cars, taxis, emergency vehicles and police vehicles)

(C)  Between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm on 13, 14, 17, 20 and 21 October 2018

Yuk Hok Lane and the section of Yuk Wah Street east of Tsz Wan Shan Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic (except private cars, taxis, emergency vehicles and police vehicles). At the same time, the motorcycle parking spaces in Yuk Wah Street near Yuk Hok Lane will be suspended.

(D)  Between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm on 14, 17 and 21 October 2018

The Po Kong Village Road School Village Carpark will be closed to all vehicular traffic (except private cars, taxis, emergency vehicles and police vehicles) to provide a temporary taxi and private car set down point.

II.   Public Transport Arrangements

(A)  Bus Services

1.  Bus Stop Arrangements

The following bus stop arrangements will be implemented between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm on 14, 17 and 21 October 2018:

(i)  the bus stop of KMB Route No. 3M on Po Kong Village Road northbound outside International Christian Quality Music Secondary and Primary School will relocate backward and combine with the bus stop of KMB Route Nos. 3B, 3D, 203E and XHT Route No. 116 opposite to Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour;

(ii)  the bus stop of KMB Route Nos. 3B, 3D, 3M, 203E and XHT Route No. 116 on Po Kong Village Road southbound outside Diamond Hill Crematorium will be suspended; and

(iii)  the bus stop of KMB Route Nos. 2F and 3M in Tsz Wan Shan (South) Bus Terminus will relocate to Tsz Wan Shan Road northbound opposite to Tak Oi Secondary School.

2.  Special Bus Services

(i)  KMB Route No. 3S (Diamond Hill Station – Diamond Hill Cemetery)(Circular) will operate between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm on 17 October 2018; and

(ii)  KMB Route No. 3D special trips (between Tsz Wan Shan (South) and Kwun Tong (Mut Wah Street / Yue Man Square)) will operate between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm on 17 October 2018.

(B)  Green Minibus (GMB) Services

The following GMB service adjustments will be implemented between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm on 6, 7, 13, 14, 17, 20, 21, 27 and 28 October 2018:

(i)  Kowloon GMB Route No. 33A (Diamond Hill bound) will divert via Po Kong Village Road southbound, Hammer Hill Road southbound and Fung Tak Road westbound before resuming normal routeing.

(ii)  Kowloon GMB Route No. 33M (Wong Tai Sin bound) will divert via Po Kong Village Road southbound, Hammer Hill Road southbound, slip road and Lung Cheung Road westbound before resuming to normal routeing.

        Appropriate traffic aids/ signage will be erected to guide motorists.  The Police may vary the details of the above temporary traffic and transport arrangements depending on traffic conditions in the areas. Members of the public are also advised to use public transport for access to Diamond Hill Cemetery area and observe the instruction given by the Police.  Regarding the opening hours of Diamond Hill Crematorium and Diamond Hill Urn Cemetery, please visit the website of Food and Environmental Hygiene Department at http://www.fehd.gov.hk/english/cc/introduction.html .
