Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements for SPORTSHOUSE Hong Kong
10K Challenge 2018 in Tin Shui Wai

        Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Tin Shui Wai to facilitate the SPORTSHOUSE Hong Kong 10K Challenge 2018 on 18 November 2018 (Sunday).

(A)   Road Closure

The following sections of roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from the time specified below until the end of the event:

(I)  From 4.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.

(1) Wetland Park Road between Tin Shui Road and Tin Kwai Road.

(II)  From 5.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.

(1) Tin Ying Road between Tin Shui Road and Tin Sau Road; and

(2) Tin Yuet Road.

(III)  From 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.

(1) Tin Ying Road between Tin Sau Road and Ping Ha Road;

(2) Tin Sau Road between Tin Shui Road and Tin Ying Road;

(3) Hung Tin Road between Ping Ha Road and Tin Shui Wai West Interchange; and

(4) The slip road leading from Yuen Long Highway to Hung Tin Road northbound.

(IV)  From 6.45 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.

(1) Tin Wah Road between Man Tak Road and Tin Shui Road.

(B)   Traffic Diversion

During period of road closure, motorists on Yuen Long Highway heading for Tin Shui Wai are advised to travel via Tong Yan San Tsuen Interchange and Long Tin Road in lieu of Tin Shui Wai West Interchange and Hung Tin Road.

(C)   Public Transport Arrangements

(I)  During period of road closure, the following franchised bus services diversion will be implemented:

(1) KMB bus route nos. 276B, N269, CTB bus route nos. 967, N969 and LW bus route no E34A will be diverted to operate via Tin Heng Bus Terminus, Tin Shui Road and Tin Sau Road in lieu of Wetland Park Road before resuming their normal routings for both bounds service;

(2) KMB bus route 68A (Tsing Yi bound) will be diverted to omit Hung Tin Road and Hung Chi Road;

(3) LW bus route A37 (Airport bound) will be diverted to operate via Castle Peak Road-Hung Shui Kiu, Castle Peak Road-Ping Shan, Shui Pin Wai Interchange, Long Tin Road, Tin Tsz Road, Tin Wah Road, Roundabout and Tin Wah Road in lieu of Tin Ying Road before resuming its normal routing. LW bus route A37 (Hung Yuen Road bound) will be diverted to operate via Tin Wah Road, Roundabout, Tin Wah Road, Tin Tsz Road, Long Tin Road, Tong Yan San Tsuen Interchange, Long Tin Road, Castle Peak Road-Ping Shan and Hung Tin Road in lieu of Tin Ying Road before resuming its normal routing;

(4) NLB bus routes B2P and B2X (Shenzhen Bay Port bound) will be diverted to operate via Ping Ha Road, Kiu Cheong Road, Kiu Fat Street, Ping Ha Road, Tin Fuk Road and Long Tin Road in lieu of Hung Tin Road before resuming its normal routing.  NLB bus routes B2P and B2X (Tin Shui Wai bound) will be diverted to operate via Long Tin Road and Tin Fuk Road in lieu of Hung Tin Road before resuming its normal routing;

(5) MTR bus routes K75 (Circular) and K75P (Circular) will be diverted to operate via Castle Peak Road-Hung Shui Kiu, Castle Peak Road-Ping Shan and Ping Ha Road in lieu of Hung Tin Road before resuming its normal routing;

(6) MTR bus route K75A (Circular) will be diverted to operate via Kiu Cheong Road, Kiu Fat Street, Ping Ha Road and Castle Peak Road-Ping Shan in lieu of Hung Tin Road before resuming its normal routing; and

(7) MTR bus route K76 will be diverted to operate via Tin Wu Road, Tin Yiu Road and Ping Ha Road in lieu of Tin Ying Road for both bounds service.

(II)  During period of road closure, the following bus stops will be suspended:

(6)	Tin Kwai Road northbound near Vianni Cove	KMB bus routes 276B, N269, CTB bus routes 967, N969 and LW bus route E34A
(7)	Ping Ha Road eastbound near Tin Shing Court	MTR bus routes K75, K75P, K76 and NLB bus route nos. B2P and B2X
(8)	Temporary bus stops for NLB bus routes B2P and B2X (Tin Shui Wai bound) will be designated at Tin Fuk Road westbound near Tin Shui Wai Light Rail Stop during period of road closure.
(9)	Temporary bus stops for CTB bus routes 967 and N969 (Tin Shui Wai bound) will be designated at Tin Sau Road westbound outside Nang Fu House, Tin Fu Court during period of road closure.

(III)  During period of road closure, the following GMB services diversion will be implemented:

(1) GMB route 618 will be diverted to operate via Grandeur Terrace estate road, Tin Shui Road, Tin Sau Road, Tin Kwai Road, Tin Lung Road, Tin Shing Road, Tin Yan Road, Tin Wing Road, Tin Shing Road, Tin Fuk Road and Ping Ha Road before resuming its normal routeing for both bounds service; and

(2) GMB route 34A will be truncated to operate between Ha Tsuen and Tin Wah Road.

(D)   Attention and Appeal

        Members of the public who plan to visit the Hong Kong Wetland Park during period of road closure are advised to use public transport like MTR and Light Rail as far as possible. Due to road closure, coach drivers heading towards the Hong Kong Wetland Park are advised to use the temporary drop off point at Tin Sau Road near Tin Sau Light Rail Stop.

        Appropriate temporary traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists. Motorists are urged to observe the instruction of the Police on site. Notices will be posted up by the public transport operators at terminal points and inside vehicle compartment to advise passengers of the temporary public transport services arrangements.
