Temporary Traffic Arrangements on Fanling Highway, Tai Po and North Districts
Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the road works on Fanling Highway, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on 16 and 18 June 2019:
(I) ROAD CLOSURE
1. from 12.30 am to 6.00 am on 16 and 18 June 2019
The slip road leading from Hong Lok Yuen Road to Fanling Highway northbound will be closed to all vehicular traffic.
2. from 1.00 am to 6.00 am on 16 and 18 June 2019
a) The slip road leading from Heung Yuen Wai Highway to Fanling Highway northbound; and
b) The section of Fanling Highway northbound from its junction with Tolo Highway to So Kwun Po Road roundabout will be closed to all vehicular traffic.
(II) TRAFFIC DIVERSION
from 1.00 am to 6.00 am on 16 and 18 June 2019
a) Vehicles on Tolo Highway northbound or Tai Po Road - Tai Wo northbound heading for Fanling and Sheung Shui will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road westbound, roundabout, Wah Ming Road eastbound, Pak Wo Road northbound, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, So Kwun Po Road roundabout and Fanling Highway northbound.
b) Vehicles on Tolo Highway northbound or Tai Po Road - Tai Wo northbound heading for Heung Yuen Wai Highway will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road westbound, slip road, Pak Wo Road northbound, Jockey Club Road northbound, slip road, Fanling Highway southbound, slip road, Tai Wo Service Road East and Heung Yuen Wai Highway northbound.
c) Vehicles on Heung Yuen Wai Highway southbound heading for Fanling and Sheung Shui will be diverted via Fanling Highway southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road westbound, roundabout, Wah Ming Road eastbound, Pak Wo Road northbound, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, So Kwun Po Road roundabout and Fanling Highway northbound.
(III) PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICES ARRANGEMENTS
from 1.00 am to 6.00 am on 16 and 18 June 2019
(A) Franchised Bus Services
a) KMB route nos. 270A (Sheung Shui bound), 270S (Luen Wo Hui bound) and 278X (Sheung Shui bound) will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road westbound, roundabout, Wah Ming Road eastbound and Pak Wo Road northbound before resuming its normal routing.
b) KMB route no. 277X (Luen Wo Hui bound) will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road westbound and roundabout before resuming its normal routing. The en-route stop at Wo Hing Tsuen will be temporarily suspended.
c) KMB route no. W3 (Sheung Shui bound) will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road westbound, roundabout, Wah Ming Road eastbound, Pak Wo Road northbound and So Kwun Po Road roundabout before resuming its normal routing.
d) LWB route no. N42A (Luen Wo Hui bound) will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road westbound, roundabout, Wah Ming Road eastbound, Pak Wo Road northbound, So Kwun Po Road eastbound and So Kwun Po Road roundabout before resuming its normal routing.
(B) Green Minibus Services
a) GMB Route no. 501S (Sheung Shui bound) will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road westbound and roundabout before resuming its normal routing.
b) GMB Route no. 616S (Lok Ma Chau bound) will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road westbound, slip road, Pak Wo Road eastbound, Jockey Club Road northbound, So Kwun Po Road westbound, So Kwun Po Road roundabout and Fanling Highway northbound before resuming its normal routing.
Appropriate traffic aids will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive in utmost care.
