Temporary Traffic Arrangements on Fanling Highway, North District

        Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the road works on Fanling Highway, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 00.01 am to 05.30 am on 9 August 2020:

(I)   ROAD CLOSURE

The section of Fanling Highway southbound from So Kwun Po Road roundabout to a point about 450 metres north of its junction with the slip road leading from Pak Wo Road will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

(II)   TRAFFIC DIVERSION

Vehicles on Fanling Highway southbound heading for Tai Po and Kowloon will be diverted via So Kwun Po Road roundabout, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, slip road and Fanling Highway southbound.

(III)   PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICES ARRANGEMENTS

A.   Franchised Bus Services

1.   KMB route no. 277E (Lam Tin bound) will be diverted via So Kwun Po Road roundabout, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, slip road and Fanling Highway southbound before resuming their normal routing;

2.   If KMB route no. W3 (West Kowloon bound) resumes its services on the dates of the works, it will be diverted via So Kwun Po Road roundabout, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, slip road and Fanling Highway southbound before resuming their normal routing; and

3.   LWB route no. N42A (Tung Chung bound) will be diverted via So Kwun Po Road roundabout, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, slip road and Fanling Highway southbound before resuming its normal routing.

B.   Green Minibus Services

If GMB route no. 616S (Mong Kok bound) resumes its services on the dates of the works, it will be diverted via So Kwun Po Road roundabout, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, slip road and Fanling Highway southbound before resuming its normal routing.

        Appropriate traffic aids will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive in utmost care.
