ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Ho Man Tin

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 28 August 2020, the following road sections in Ho Man Tin will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

  (a) The section of Liberty Avenue from its junction with Victory Avenue to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction;

  (b) The western kerbside lane of Victory Avenue from its junction with Liberty Avenue to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction;

  (c) The western kerbside lane of Victory Avenue from its junction with Liberty Avenue to a point about 5 metres north of the same junction;

  (d) The eastern kerbside lane of Victory Avenue from its junction with Liberty Avenue to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;

  (e) The section of Liberty Avenue from its northern junction with Peace Avenue to a point about 5 metres east of the same junction;

  (f) The eastern kerbside lane of Peace Avenue from its northern junction with Liberty Avenue to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction;

  (g) The eastern kerbside lane of Peace Avenue from its northern junction with Liberty Avenue to a point about 30 metres south of the same junction;

  (h) The western kerbside lane of Peace Avenue from a point about 5 metres south of its northern junction with Liberty Avenue to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;

  (i) The northern kerbside lane of Liberty Avenue from its southern junction with Peace Avenue to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;

  (j) The southern kerbside lane of Liberty Avenue from its southern junction with with Peace Avenue to a point about 5 metres east of the same junction; and

  (k) The eastern kerbside lane of Peace Avenue from its southern junction with Liberty Avenue to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses, and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b) loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the above road section will be rescinded.
