ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)

Extension of Temporary Restricted Zones in Tung Cheong Street, Tai Po

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 6.00 pm on 31 August 2020 to 6.00 pm on 30 April 2021:

(1)   the section of Tung Cheong Street from a point about 40 metres north of its junction with Plover Cove Road to a point about 50 metres north of the same junction will continue to be temporarily designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily; and

(2)   the eastern kerbside lane of Tung Cheong Street from a point about 15 metres north of its junction with Plover Cove Road to a point about 40 metres north of the same junction will be temporarily designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(1)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(2)   loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones has been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
