ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones In Yuen Long

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Cap.374 sub. leg. G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 29 August 2020, the following road sections will be designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(i)   the section of Fung Cheung Road from a point about 10 metres north of its junction with Kin Lok Street to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction; 

(ii)  the section of Kin Lok Street between Fung Cheung Road and Kin Yip Street; 

(iii) the southern kerbside lane of Kin Lok Street from its junction with Kin Yip Street to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction; 

(iv) the section of Kin Yip Street from its junction with Kin Lok Street to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction; and

(v)  the section of Kin Cheung Street from its junction with Kin Lok Street to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
