ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Sham Shui Po

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 7 September 2020, the following road sections in Sham Shui Po will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

  (a) the western kerbside lane of Tai Po Road from its junction with Wong Chuk Street to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;

  (b) the northern kerbside lane of Wong Chuk Street from its junction with Tai Po Road to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;

  (c) the southern kerbside lane of Wong Chuk Street from its junction with Tai Po Road to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction; and

  (d) the eastern kerbside lane of Fuk Wing Street from its junction with Wong Chuk Street to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b) loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
