ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones on King's Park Rise, Yau Ma Tei

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1) (b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 4 September 2020, the following road sections  on King's Park Rise will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

  (a) The southern kerbside lane of an unnamed road near King's Park Rest Garden from its junction with King's Park Rise to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction;

  (b) The northern kerbside lane of an unnamed road near King's Park Rest Garden from its junction with King's Park Rise to a point about 30 metres west of the same junction;

  (c) The section of King's Park Rise from a point about 40 metres west of its junction with King's Park Hill Road to a point about 160 metres west of the same junction; and

  (d) The section of King's Park Rise from a point about 20 metres east of its cul-de-sac to a point about 42 metres east of the same cul-de-sac.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b) loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
