ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Extension of Temporary Restricted Zones in Tonkin Street, Sham Shui Po

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 6.01 pm on 15 September 2020 to 6.00 pm on 14 March 2021, the following road sections in Tonkin Street will continue to be temporarily designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily.

  (a) The western kerbside lane of Tonkin Street from its junction with Cheung Sha Wan Road to a point about 40 metres north of the same junction;

  (b) The western kerbside lane of Tonkin Street from its junction with Cheung Sha Wan Road to a point about 85 metres south of the same junction.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b) loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones has been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones the above road sections will continue to be temporarily rescinded.
