ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Kowloon City

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 11 September 2020, the following road sections in Kowloon City will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

  (a) The section of Sa Po Road from a point about 20 metres north of its junction with Carpenter Road to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction;

  (b) The northern kerbside lane of Carpenter Road from a point about 5 metres east of its junction with Sa Po Road to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction;

  (c) The southern kerbside lane of Carpenter Road from a point about 15 metres east of its junction with Sa Po Road to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction;

  (d) The section of Kai Tai Road from its junction with Carpenter Road to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction;

  (e) The southern kerbside lane of Carpenter Road from its junction with Kai Tak Road to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction; and

  (f) The northern kerbside lane of Carpenter Road from its junction with Kai Tak Road to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b) loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the above road section will be rescinded.
