ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Kam Ying Road and Fu Po Road, Ma On Shan

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 25 September 2020, the following road sections in Ma On Shan will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

(a)   the western kerbside lane of Kam Ying Road northbound from a point about 50 metres south of its junction with Fu Po Raod to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction;

(b)   the eastern kerbside lane of Kam Ying Road southbound from a point about 40 metres north of its junction with Fu Po Raod to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction;

(c)   the northern kerbside lane of Fu Po Raod eastbound from a point about 40 metres west of its junction with Kam Ying Road to the same junction; and

(d)   the southern kerbside lane of Fu Po Raod westbound from a point about 20 metres east of its junction with Kam Ying Road to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
