ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Mong Kok

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 9 October 2020, the following road sections in Mong Kok will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

  (a) the eastern kerbside lane of Lai Chi Kok Road from a point about 15 metres north of its junction with Wong Chuk Street to point about 15 metres south of the same junction;

  (b) the section of Wong Chuk Street from its junction with Lai Chi Kok Road to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;

  (c) the northern kerbside lane of Boundary Street from its junction with Lai Chi Kok Road to a point about 25 metres east of the same junction; and

  (d) the southern kerbside lane of Boundary Street from its junction with Lai Chi Kok Road to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b) loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road section will be rescinded.
