Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in
Lo Wai, Tsuen Wan for Chung Yeung Festival 2020

        Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Lo Wai, Tsuen Wan in connection with Chung Yeung Festival 2020:

(A)   Traffic Arrangements

(I)   Road Closure

The section of Lo Wai Road from Lo Wai Pai Lau to Yuen Yuen Institute will be designated as closed road to all vehicular traffic except franchised buses, taxis, public light buses (scheduled service New Territories Route No. 81), emergency vehicles and vehicles with valid closed road permits from 8.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on 18, 24, 25 and 26 October 2020.

Free shuttle bus service will be provided at Tai Ho Road opposite to Tsuen Wan West Station for access to the closed section of Lo Wai Road.

(II)  Suspension of Parking Spaces

During the above road closure, all metered parking spaces on Lo Wai Road near Yi Pei Chun Road, former Lo Wai Bus Terminus and Lo Wai Road outside Yuen Yuen Institutes will be suspended from 5.00 p.m. on 17 October 2020 to 8.00 a.m. on 19 October 2020, from 5.00 p.m. on 23 October 2020 to 8.00 a.m. on 27 October 2020, and from 7.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on 1 November 2020.

(B)   Public Transport Arrangements

KMB special bus route no. 32P will be operated on 18, 25 and 26 October 2020 between Castle Peak Road-Tsuen Wan westbound (between Chung On Street and Tai Ho Road) and Yuen Yuen Institute.  The operating hours are as follows:

From Tsuen Wan (Castle Peak Road)             From Yuen Yuen Institute

          8.30 a.m. - 4.45 p.m.                                   9.00 a.m. - 5.30 p.m.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be put up and Police officers will be on-site to guide the public.  Public transport operators will also display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements.  Actual implementation of and adjustments to road closures and traffic control will be made by the Police at the time depending on conditions in the areas.

        Motorists who wish to drive to Yuen Yuen Institute are advised to check with Yuen Yuen Institute about the opening hours in addition to the road closure periods.
