(CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Ma On Shan

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 23 October 2020, the following road sections in Ma On Shan will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

(a)   the eastern kerbside lane of On Yuen Street southbound from a point about 65 metres north of its junction with Sai Sha Road to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;

(b)   the southern kerbside lane of Sai Sha Road westbound from a point about 55 metres east of its junction with On Luk Street to a point about 25 metres east of the same junction;

(c)   the western kerbside lane of On Luk Street northbound from a point about 55 metres south of its junction with Sai Sha Road to a point about 35 metres south of the same junction; and

(d)   the northern kerbside lane of Sai Sha Road eastbound from a point about 35 metres west of its junction with On Yuen Street to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
