ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Yuen Chau Kok Road and Kong Pui Street, Sha Tin

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 10 November 2020, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

i.     the western kerbside lane of Kong Pui Street from a point about 130 metres north of its junction with Yi Shing Square to a point about 172 metres north of the same junction;

ii.    the eastern kerbside lane of Kong Pui Street from a point about 165 metres north of its junction with Yi Shing Square to a point about 175 metres north of the same junction;

iii.   the southern kerbside lane of Yuen Chau Kok Road from a point about 37 metres west of its junction with Yuen Cheong Lane to point about 69 metres west of the same junction;

iv.   the northern kerbside lane of Yuen Chau Kok Road from a point about 42 metres west of its junction with Wong Uk Lane to point about 72 metres west of the same junction;

v.    the southern kerbside lane of Yuen Chau Kok Road from a point about 14 metres west of its junction with Yuen Chau Kok Road to a point about 51 metres west of the same junction;

vi.   the western kerbside lane of Kong Pui Street from a point about 56 metres east of its junction with Yi Shing Square to a point about 86 metres east of the same junction;

vii.  the western kerbside lane of Kong Pui Street from a point about 78 metres north of its junction with Yi Shing Square to a point about 112 metres north of the same junction;

viii. the eastern kerbside lane of Kong Pui Street (near Iris Garden of Shatin Park Phase III) from a point about 90 metres south of its junction with Yuen Chau Kok Road to a point about 130 metres south of the same junction; and

ix.   the western kerside lane of Kong Pui Street (near Iris Garden of Shatin Park Phase III) from a point about 70 metres south of its junction with Yuen Chau Kok Road to a point about 103 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(i)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(ii)   loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
