ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Jordan

　　In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1) (b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 6 November 2020, the following road sections in Jordan will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily.

(a)  the western kerbside lane of Shanghai Street from a point about 20 metres north of its junction with Wing Sing Lane to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;

(b)  the eastern kerbside lane of Shanghai Street from a point about 20 metres north of its junction with Wing Sing Lane to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;

(c)  the northern kerbside lane of Wing Sing Lane from a point about 15 metres west of its junction with Shanghai Street to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction;

(d)  the southern kerbside lane of Wing Sing Lane from a point about 10 metres west of its junction with Shanghai Street to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction;

(e)t  he section of Wing Sing Lane from a point about 15 metres west of its junction with Temple Street to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction;

(f)  the section of Temple Street from a point about 15 metres north of its junction with Wing Sing Lane to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;

(g)  the section of Temple Street from its junction with Public Square Street to a point about 5 metres north of the same junction;

(h)  the section of Arthur Street from its junction with Public Square Street to a point about 5 metres north of the same junction;

(i)  the western kerbside lane of Arthur Street from a point about 10 metres north of its junction with Wing Sing Lane to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;

(j)  the eastern kerbside lane of Arthur Street from a point about 10 metres north of its junction with Wing Sing Lane to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction; and

(k)  the section of Wing Sing Lane from a point about 5 metres west of its junction with Arthur Street to a point about 5 metres east of the same junction.

　　Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

　　  (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
　　  (b)  loading or unloading goods.

　　The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

　　At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
