ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Tai Po Road – Ma Liu Shui, Sha Tin

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 6 November 2020, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

i.   the northern kerbside lane of Tai Po Road – Ma Liu Shui from a point about 64 metres west of its junction with University Avenue to a point about 122 metres west of the same junction;

ii.  the southern kerbside lane of Tai Po Road – Ma Liu Shui from its junction with University Avenue to a point about 77 metres west of the same junction;

iii. the northern kerbside lane of Tai Po Road – Ma Liu Shui from a point about 420 metres west of its junction with University Avenue to point about 478 metres west of the same junction; and

iv. the southern kerbside lane of Tai Po Road – Ma Liu Shui from a point about 370 metres west of its junction with University Avenue to point about 416 metres west of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(i)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(ii)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
