Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations(Chapter 374)

Restricted Zones on Fu Uk Road and Yau Ma Hom Road, Tsuen Wan

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 9.00 a.m. on 10 November 2020, the following road sections in Tsuen Wan will be designated as restricted zones:

(a)   The western kerbside lane of Fu Uk Road from a point about 200 metres north of its junction with Kwok Shui Road to a point about 230 metres north of the same junction will be designated as restricted zone 24 hours daily;

(b)   The western kerbside lane of Fu Uk Road from a point about 130 metres north of its junction with Kwok Shui Road to a point about 195 metres north of the same junction will be designated as restricted zone from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily;

(c)   The eastern kerbside lane of Fu Uk Road from its junction with Yau Ma Hom Road to a point about 40 metres north of the same junction will be designated as restricted zone from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily; and

(d)   The northern kerbside lane of Yau Ma Hom Road from its junction with Fu Uk Road to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction will be designated as restricted zone from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily.

        Within the restricted zones in (a) above, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

        Within the restricted zones in (b), (c) and (d) above, drivers of all motor vehicles, except taxis and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
