ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones on Yau On Street and Lower Shing Mun Road, Tai Wai

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 6 November 2020, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a)   the western kerbside lane of Yau On Street from its junction with Lower Shing Mun Road to a point about 44 metres south of the same junction; 

(b)   the eastern kerbside lane of Yau On Street from a point about 16 metres south of its junction with Lower Shing Mun Road to the same junction; 

(c)   the southern kerbside lane of Lower Shing Mun Road from a point about 14 metres west of its junction with Yau On Street to a point about 16 metres east of the same junction; and

(d)   the northern kerbside lane of Lower Shing Mun Road from a point about 13 metres west of its junction with Yau On Street to a point about 42 metres west of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
