ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER  374 SUB. LEG. G)

Restricted Zones in Sai Wan Ho

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374 sub. leg. G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 6 November 2020 the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

i.   the southern kerbside lane of Tai On Street from a point about 35 metres east of its junction with Tai Hong Street to the same junction;

ii.  the southern kerbside lane of Tai Hong Street from its southern junction with Lei King Road to a point about 60 metres east of the same junction; and

iii. the northern kerbside lane of Lei King Road from its southern junction with Tai Hong Street to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from: 

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
