ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Cheung Yip Street, Lam Chak Street, Shing Cheong Road
and Wang Chiu Road, Kowloon Bay

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 20 November 2020, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

  (a)  the southern kerbside lane of Wang Chiu Road from its junction with Cheung Yip Street to point about 15 metres west of the same junction;

  (b)  the section of Cheung Yip Street from its junction with Wang Chiu Road and Hoi Bun Road to its junction with Lam Chak Street;

  (c)  the section of Cheung Yip Street from its junction with Lam Chak Street to a roundabout about 190 metres south of the same junction;

  (d)  the section of Lam Chak Street from its junction with Cheung Yip Street to a point about 30 metres east of the same junction; and

  (e)  the section of Shing Cheong Road from its junction with Cheung Yip Street to its junction Kai Tak with Bridge.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b)  loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones has been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing temporary restricted zones on the above road sections as gazetted under G.N.5530 on 25 September 2020 will be rescinded.
