ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Kowloon City

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 18 November 2020, the following road sections in Kowloon City will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

  (a)  the eastern kerbside lane of Nam Kok Road from a point about 20 metres north of its junction with Nga Tsin Wai Road to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;

  (b)  the southern kerbside lane of Nga Tsin Wai Road from its junction with Nam Kok Road to a point about 70 metres east of the same junction;

  (c)  the northern kerbside lane of Nga Tsin Wai Road from its junction with Nam Kok Road to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;

  (d)  the northern kerbside lane of Nga Tsin Wai Road from a point about 25 metres west of its junction with Lung Kong Road to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction;

  (e)  the section of Lung Kong Road from a point about 15 metres north of its junction with Nga Tsin Wai Road to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;

  (f)  the northern kerbside lane of Nga Tsin Wai Road from a point about 25 metres west of its junction with South Wall Road to a point about 5 metres east of the same junction;

  (g)  the section of South Wall Road from its junction with Nga Tsin Wai Road to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction;

  (h)  the southern kerbside lane of Nga Tsin Wai Road from a point about 20 metres west of its junction with South Wall Road to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction; and

  (i)  the western kerbside lane of South Wall Road from its junction with Nga Tsin Wai Road to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction (except metered parking spaces)

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b)  loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
