Temporary Traffic Arrangements on Fanling Highway, North District
Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the road works on Fanling Highway, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 00.30 am to 05.30 am on 28 November and 3 December 2020 as specified below.
(I) ROAD CLOSURE
The following road sections will be temporarily closed for all vehicular traffic:
1. The section of Fanling Highway southbound between So Kwun Po Road roundabout and Fanling Highway Interchange;
2. The slip road leading from So Kwun Po Road to Fanling Highway southbound;
3. The slip road leading from Jockey Club Road to Fanling Highway southbound; and
4. The slip road leading from Pak Wo Road to Fanling Highway southbound.
(II) TRAFFIC DIVERSION
1. Vehicles on Fanling Highway southbound heading for Tai Po and Kowloon will be diverted via So Kwun Po Road roundabout, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, slip road, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Tai Po Road – Tai Wo Section southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange and Tolo Highway southbound;
2. Vehicles on Fanling Highway southbound heading for Heung Yuen Wai Highway will be diverted via So Kwun Po Road roundabout, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, slip road, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, slip road, Fanling Highway northbound, slip road and Heung Yuen Wai Highway northbound;
3. Vehicles on So Kwun Po Road westbound heading for Tai Po and Kowloon will be diverted via So Kwun Po Road roundabout, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, slip road, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Tai Po Road – Tai Wo Section southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange and Tolo Highway southbound;
4. Vehicles on Jockey Road southbound heading for Tai Po and Kowloon will be diverted via slip road, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Tai Po Road – Tai Wo Section southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange and Tolo Highway southbound; and
5. Vehicles on Pak Wo Road eastbound heading for Tai Po and Kowloon will be diverted via Jockey Club Road northbound, Sha Tau Kok Road – Lung Yeuk Tau roundabout, Jockey Club Road southbound, slip road, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Tai Po Road – Tai Wo Section southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange and Tolo Highway southbound.
(III) PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICES ARRANGEMENTS
(A) Franchised Bus Services
1. KMB route nos. 277X (Lam Tin bound) and 278X (Tsuen Wan Bound) will be diverted via Wah Ming Road westbound, roundabout, Wo Hing Road eastbound, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Tai Po Road – Tai Wo southbound and Lam Kam Interchange before resuming their normal routing. The en-route stops at bus-bus interchange at Fanling Highway will be temporarily suspended; and
2. LWB route no. N42A (Tung Chung bound) will be diverted via San Wan Road southbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, Pak Wo Road westbound, Wah Ming Road southbound, roundabout, Wo Hing Road eastbound, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Tai Po Road – Tai Wo Section southbound and Lam Kam Road Interchange before resuming their normal routeing.
(B) Green Minibus Services
1. GMB Route no. 501S (Kwun Tong bound) will be diverted via Jockey Club Road northbound, Sha Tau Kok Road – Lung Yeuk Tau roundabout, Jockey Club Road southbound, slip road, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Tai Po Road – Tai Wo Section southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange and Tolo Highway southbound before resuming its normal routeing; and
2. If GMB Route no. 616S (Mong Kok bound) resumes its services on the date of works, it will be diverted via So Kwun Po Road roundabout, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, slip road, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Tai Po Road – Tai Wo Section southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange and Tolo Highway southbound before resuming its normal routeing.
Appropriate traffic aids will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive in utmost care.
