ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS  (CHAPTER  374 SUB. LEG. G) 

Extension of Temporary Restricted Zones in Chai Wan

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374 sub. leg. G, I hereby direct that with effect from 6.00 pm on 27 November 2020 to 6.00 pm on 11 April 2021, the following road sections in Chai Wan will continue to be temporarily designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily.:

(a)   the northern kerbside lane of Ning Foo Street from its junction with Lee Chung Street to a point about 60 metres east of the same junction; 

(b)   the southern kerbside lane of Ning Foo Street from a point about 10 metres east of its junction with Lee Chung Street to a point about 45 metres east of the same junction;

(c)   the southern kerbside lane of Ning Foo Street from a point about 65 metres east of its junction with Lee Chung Street to a point about 70 metres east of the same junction; and

(d)   the eastern kerbside lane of Lee Chung Street from its junction with Ning Foo Street to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)   loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones has been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will continue to be temporarily rescinded.
